Image Camp Coowanga! - 5 Days; from 3/15/2010 to 3/19/2010
You don't have to travel to the outback to sample these tasty dishes. Australian cuisine reflects the country's multicultural nature. Recipes are inspired by the British, Mediterranean cuisine, Asian foods, and also "bush tucker", which is traditional food, often foraged, that was eaten by travelers in the wilderness areas of Australia known as the "outback" (bush tucker is in fact often inspired by traditional Aboriginal recipes). Learn some down under history while cookin up a storm- from Bacon and Egg pie to Traditional Australian bread and Lamingtons- chocolate coated sponge cake cubes, rolled in desiccated coconut; usually served with whipped cream and afternoon tea. **PLEASE PROVIDE A NON-SUGAR DRINK AND SNACK EACH DAY OF CAMP, OFF SITE TRIPS MAY BE ARRANGED, PERMISSION SLIPS WILL BE PROVIDED PRIOR TO EVENT**

Image Camp- Miss Spiders Tea party! - 5 Days; from 3/29/2010 to 4/2/2010
Based on this popular children’s book children will arrive to class daily and prepare a variety of tea sandwiches and French pastry- from fresh fruit tarts to mini carrot tea sandwiches -quick breads and flavorful scones. A reading of the book, “Miss Spiders Tea party “and a fun craft activity will be included. Children will sip fresh whole fruit juices from the most miniature tea sets and dine on the snack of the day! Secretly, we know you want this class for yourself… * giggle

Image Camp B-L-D (Breakfast-Lunch-Dinner) learn to do it yourself - 5 Days; from 3/29/2010 to 4/2/2010
B-L-D means Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner plus some extras. This a camp that has a little bit of everything, students will learn how to make a meals and snacks for every part of the day. Menu will be based on seasonal ingredients, come take a five day journey into the kitchen to learn the basics. Back by popular demand for Round Two and KCA Veterans or newbies students will help make dishes using recipes like Daisy-Head Mayzie Burgers, Scrambled Eggs Super-Dee-Dooper-Dee-Booper Special Deluxe a-la-Peter T. Hooper!, etc. Come and listen to your silly chef read their favorite Dr Suess book and then build a new recipe based on that story each day. This camp is inspired by none other than the beloved Dr Suess and his Cookbook!

The name of "cupcake" is given as it is a small cake the size of a teacup. In previous centuries, before muffin tins were widely available, the cakes were often baked in individual pottery cups, ramekins, or molds. Whether you want to learn how to make crazy confections or just mouth watering cupcakes this class is for you. Come spend some time with a professional pastry chef and cake instructor learning to build your on crazy cup cakes.
